First steps in the Cloud Center

Create reseller account

If you do not yet have a reseller account with Wortmann AG, you will find a form at [ https://www.wortmann.de/content/files/Content/externe_dokumente_ablage/Autorisierungsformular_Neukunde_Weboptimiert_Neu.pdf here ], which you must fill out and send to Neukunde@Wortmann.de.If you do not yet have a reseller account with Wortmann AG, you will find a form at [ https://www.wortmann.de/content/files/Content/externe_dokumente_ablage/Autorisierungsformular_Neukunde_Weboptimiert_Neu.pdf here ], which you must fill out and send to Neukunde@Wortmann.de.
You will then be assigned a customer number, which you can then use to proceed.

Username and password

Please enter the e-mail address that you want to use later as an administrator. This will be used to log in to the TERRA CLOUD Center.
Among other things, a confirmation email will be sent to this address. The password must consist of at least 8 characters.
Upper and lower case letters and numbers must be used.
In addition, at least one special character is required (note: not all characters are recognised; recommendation: ! $).

Contact information

Here you enter the basic information about yourself and your company. It is important to pay attention to the correct spelling of, for example, the federal state.
This information is necessary as there is a cross-check between your details and the information we have on record.

Registration in the Cloud Center

Register as a reseller

In the field "Wortmann AG customer number", please enter the customer number assigned to you by Wortmann AG.
Once you have entered this number, the "Bank details" input field then disappears.

Create account

Before you complete the registration and click on the "Create account" button, you must read and accept the General Terms and Conditions.
The same applies to the data protection guidelines. After completing the registration, a window will appear confirming that your registration was successful.
You will also receive an e-mail in which you must confirm your registration. If this window does not appear or you do not receive the e-mail, it is possible that one or more of the details are missing.
In this case, please check your entries again. If you still receive error messages, please contact us at csp@wortmann.de.

Onboarding to the Technical Centre

The Technical Center is a 100% in-house development of WORTMANN AG. Here we provide options for managing virtual environments, backups and your end customers.
To be able to book Microsoft 365 products, you also need access to our Technical Centre.

Gain access to the Technical Centre

After successful registration as a reseller in the TERRA CLOUD Center, you will also receive access to the TERRA Technical Center within a few minutes.
If you are unable to access the TERRA Technical Center within 60 minutes, please contact us by e-mail at the following address, stating your WORTMANN AG customer number:

Create partner employees

The user administration is available in the TERRA Technical Center. Here you can create new user accounts for your employees.

To do so, select 'Data' and 'User role' and set the value to Reseller employee.

Via the option 'User rights portal' you can define different permissions for the respective Reseller employee.
The following permissions are required for Microsoft CSP operations:

  • General access
  • Dashboard
  • Customer management
  • CSP


Microsoft Partner Network ID and Microsoft Partner Agreement

In order to be able to make Microsoft CSP purchases, partners have to register as indirect resellers with Microsoft and enter the respective information in our TERRA Technical Center.
The following information is required:

  • Microsoft Partner Network ID
  • Microsoft ID


To enter this information, please select the item 'Reseller administration' in the TERRA Technical Center. Then click on 'Edit' under 'CSP'.
You will then see the corresponding fields where you can enter the necessary information.
If any of the details change, you can unlock the input fields by clicking on 'Edit'. Afterwards, please send information to csp@wortmann.de with your customer number.

Creating a customer in the TERRA Cloud Center

End customers are always created in the TERRA CLOUD Center (www.terracloud.de).
To do so, please click on the factory symbol on the left-hand side of the welcome page after logging in.
Here you will find the customer administration and, subsequently, all the end customers you have created.

To create a new end customer, please click on the '+' symbol. Afterwards, another window opens in which you have to enter the following information of the end customer:

  • Company name
  • Adress
  • Postal Code
  • City
  • Country
  • State
  • First name
  • Last name
  • E-Mail
  • Telephone number


This information is mandatory, but can be adjusted at any time afterwards.
With the installation of the end customer in the TERRA CLOUD Centre, the process is completed at this point.
The end customer is automatically synchronised into the TERRA Technical Centre within a time window of a few minutes.
This is where the final one-time process of creating/connecting a Microsoft 365 account takes place.

Microsoft account

Microsoft CSP products are managed in the respective Microsoft 365 Admin Center after they have been booked. For this purpose, a Microsoft 365 account must be created uniquely for each end customer.
In addition, Microsoft provides further information on the scope of products and services. These are summarised in the so-called Microsoft Customer Agreement
This must also be accepted only once before booking Microsoft CSP products.

Create / link a Microsoft 365 account

For the booking and deployment of Microsoft CSP products, a Microsoft 365 account must be created for each end customer or an existing account must be linked.
Without this step, no reservations can be made. This step takes place in the TERRA Technical Center. Please click on the item 'Customer administration'.
All end customers that have been created in the TERRA CLOUD Center are displayed here. Next, select the corresponding end customer and then click on 'Service settings'.
You will see the item 'CSP' there. Please click on the option 'Edit'. Here you have two choices, which are explained in more detail in the following paragraphs.

Create a new Microsoft 365 account

If your end user has never used Microsoft 365 before, you can create a new Microsoft 365 account in the TERRA Technical Center.
To do this, please select the option 'Create new Microsoft Tenant'. Then type in the desired prefix. Our system will then create the new login details.

Example:
The end customer is called Müller GmbH and has never used Microsoft 365. To create a Microsoft 365 account, simply write the company name in the input field and check the availability.
If the prefix already exists, you will receive a notification. Then adjust the prefix accordingly. Click on 'Save' and our system will create the following login:

admin@muellergmbh.onmicrosoft.com
xxxyyzzz (Initial password)

With this login details you can log in to the newly created Microsoft 365 Admin Center of the end customer via portal.office.com.

Linking an existing Microsoft 365 account

If your end customer already uses Microsoft 365 products, you can link the existing account with our system.
The settings and users in the respective Microsoft 365 Centre remain unaffected. Only an additional reference path is added to the existing system.
To start the process, please select 'Link existing tenant' under 'Service settings' in the TERRA Technical Center.
In the text box, please enter the default domain stored for the end customer in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. This is not necessarily the onmicrosoft.com domain.
You can see which domain is the correct one in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center of the end customer under the item 'Settings' and 'Domains'. There you will find a domain with the note (default).

Once you have entered the appropriate default domain in the TERRA Technical Center, click on 'Save'. Our system will then send an e-mail to the e-mail address entered under the end customer's account.
The email contains a link that must be confirmed once with the admin login data for the end customer's respective Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
We recommend opening this link using InPrivate/Incognito browsers only.
After the successful confirmation of the link, you as a partner and we as WORTMANN AG are listed in the settings and partner relationships in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center of the end customer.
To complete the process, please click on the item 'Check assignment' in the TERRA Technical Center. If you receive an error message,
adjust the registered domain accordingly or check whether you as a partner and we as WORTMANN AG are registered in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center of the end customer.
If the existing Microsoft 365 Admin Center cannot be linked, please contact csp@wortmann.de with your WORTMANN AG customer number.

Exceptions when ordering Non-Profit, Education or Perpetual licenses

There are still exceptions to the ordering process for some products, as these are not yet available in Microsoft's NCE model.

This applies in particular to the ordering of non-profit, education and perpetual licences.
A requirement of these licences is that you have to deposit the microsoft tenant in the Technical Centre as well as in the TERRA Cloud Centre.
If you fail to do so, the order cannot be deployed.

For the purchase of non-profit (www.nonprofit.microsoft.com) and education licences, the customer requires a special activation which, in the case of non-profit, must come from Microsoft itself; in the case of education, we as Wortmann AG can assign this status ourselves.
If you are not sure whether the customer has one of these statuses, please write us an email at csp@wortmann.de.

Booking Microsoft CSP licences

Microsoft CSP products continue to be booked in the TERRA CLOUD Center (www.terracloud.de). You can see all the products that can be purchased via the product selection.
In the shopping cart, you configure the selected item and make the final booking. An adjustment of the completed orders is also possible in the TERRA CLOUD Center for the end customer in question.

Product selection

In the TERRA CLOUD Center you will find the available products in our 'Marketplace'. This can be opened by clicking on 'Marketplace' in the left hand side after logging in to the TERRA CLOUD Center.
A window with the product overview will then open.
The Microsoft CSP products can be found in the category 'Microsoft Products'.
In the category 'Microsoft CSP New Commerce' you will find the available options divided into main products and addons.

Subscription periods & payment methods

In the CSP New Commerce model, you can choose between different subscription periods and different payment methods. The following options are available:

Monthly subscription with monthly payment

  • Here you have the most flexibility and can increase, reduce and cancel the amount from month to month
  • A reduction or cancellation is not possible after leaving the 7-day time window. A new 7-day processing window will only open on the respective renewal date of the subscription.
  • There is no price protection


Annual subscription with monthly payment

  • When you book this option, you pay the same monthly price for a fixed period of one year.
  • Extensions to the quantity are possible at any time and will be invoiced monthly from the time of addition.
  • A reduction or cancellation is not possible after leaving the 7-day time window. A new 7-day processing window will only open on the respective renewal date of the annual subscription.
  • There is a price protection of one year from booking


Annual subscription with annual payment

  • When booking this option, you pay a fixed price for the licence for one year in advance.
  • Extensions to the quantity are possible at any time and will be invoiced pro rata to the remaining term.
  • A reduction or cancellation is not possible after leaving the 7-day time window. A new 7-day processing window will only open on the respective renewal date of the annual subscription.
  • There is a price protection of one year from booking


Configuration of the order in the shopping cart

After you have selected the product you want in the marketplace, add it to the shopping cart. Here you enter an order name, select the respective end customer and enter the desired quantity.
By clicking on 'Order subject to payment', the order is finally placed and transmitted to the Microsoft system.
The booked products are available within a few minutes in the M365 Admin Center of the end customer.

Access to booked licences

The purchased products can be found in the individual Microsoft 365 Admin Center of your end customer.
There you can find the keys (for perpetual bookings) or assign the licences to the respective users (for M365 bookings).
To access the booked products, log in via portal.office.com with the admin login data of the respective end customer.

Microsoft CSP products (M365, Exchange Online, Teams, etc.)

Products from the Microsoft 365, Exchange Online or Teams category can be found in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center of your end customer via the following path:

  Billing --> Licences


Here you can see a general overview of all booked and active products.

Microsoft Perpetual products (Windows Server, Office Standard, etc.)

Products from the Microsoft Perpetual category can be found in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center of your end customer via the following path:

  Billing --> Your products --> Please wait a few seconds until the Microsoft 365 Admin Center has completely loaded --> Software


In the sub-item 'Software' you can access the purchased keys and download the installation software.

Adjustment of existing orders

Existing orders can be adjusted by you according to your needs. Extensions are possible at any time.
Reductions and cancellations only within the time windows set by Microsoft.

Time window for adjustments

Subscription-Renewal

There are different terms from the day of booking. In the case of a monthly subscription, the order is extended from month to month.
In the case of an annual subscription (regardless of the payment method), the booking is always extended from year to year. Expansions are possible at any time.
Cancellations and reductions only on the respective renewal date.

7-day time frame

In addition to the renewal date, Microsoft opens a 7-day window in which reductions and cancellations can be made.
This 7-day time window always starts with the respective renewal date.
If this time window is missed, reductions and cancellations can only be carried out again at the next possible time windows.

CSP

The business model of the future is the cloud! Virtual machines, hosted servers or simple backup are now part of the standard offering in the WORTMANN AG data centre.
Through the Cloud Solution Provider model (CSP), you can now also obtain licences quickly and with a variety of subscription methods from the Microsoft 365 product range, among others.
In the TERRA Cloud Center and the TERRA Technical Centre, you can manage customers automatically and easily and make licences available within a few minutes.

Microsoft 365

Microsoft offers a wide range of possibilities with the Microsoft 365 licences.
In addition to the familiar Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, the individual plans include various other features.
These include online services such as Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online or Teams.
When purchasing via the CSP model, both monthly and annual Microsoft 365 licences are available in our Marketplace!

Perpetual/ Perpetual Subscription

Until now, the classic licensing method has been volume licensing. Exchange or Windows servers, for example, were available with the corresponding access licences.
With the new perpetual licences, these products will also be available for booking via the CSP model
The familiar terms of use from OLP licensing continue to apply here:
One-off payment for unlimited right of use, alternatively for perpetual licences with a term of 1 or 3 years and no software assurance included.

Indirect distribution partnership

To establish a link as a Microsoft Indirect Sales Partner with WORTMANN AG, please select the scenario that applies to you.

Scenario A: I am already a Microsoft Indirect Sales Partner

Step 1: Check if the Microsoft Partner Agreement is confirmed
Log in to the Microsoft Partner Center: https://partner.microsoft.com/en-us/dashboard/
After logging in, you should receive a request to confirm the MPA. To check whether you have already done this, you can check under "Account Settings" > "Partner settings".
Under the tab "Trading Partner Profile" it should be noted that you have signed the Microsoft Partner Agreement.

Step 2: Establish indirect sales partnership with WORTMANN AG
In order for us to create new customers for you as an Indirect Sales Partner with Microsoft and place orders for these customers, you must establish a connection to us as an Indirect Provider.
You can check this directly in the Microsoft Partner Center via the tab "Indirect providers".
If Wortmann AG is already displayed as an indirect provider with you, you can continue with the finalisation work in the TERRA Technical Centre.

FAQ

Question Answer
I want to sell CSP licences, what do I have to do? In order to sell CSP licences, you must meet certain requirements.
Here you will find everything you need to sell the licences through us.
How do I cancel a CSP licence? You can cancel both monthly and annual licences via the " trash can icon".
I am looking for an Office 365 Business Premium licence but can no longer find it? In February '20, Microsoft changed some names. Among them was the O365 Business Premium.
You can find a complete list with the new names here. Please note that the name change has not affected all products.
I have an end customer who needs an education activation, what do I have to do? In this case, please send us an e-mail to csp@wortmann.de with the name of the end customer and ask us activate the
EDU licences, as soon as you have created the end customer with us in the TCC.
Please note a nursery school / kindergarten are not EDU entitled!
What are use-benefits in the EDU area? So-called use-benefits are free student licences that are made available to the end customer, if it licenses the entire teaching staff of a school. You can find an overview of which teacher licences bring which use-benefits. Here
My EDU-eligible end customer would like to have use benefits, how can I order them? After you ordered the "for faculty" you can write us an email and we will make them available.
My end customer is a non-profit organisation and I would like to book non-profit licences for them, how do I proceed? In order to be able to book non-profit licences, the end customer must be authorised by Microsoft to obtain them.
He can do this here.
Our end customer already obtains CSP licences via another distributor, can I "move" this to the Terra Cloud? No, moving the licences from another distributor is not possible in this way.
You need to create the end customer in the Terra Cloud Center and link the existing Microsoft Admin Center.
The licences must then be re-booked in the Terra Cloud Center.
Is it sufficient to set the number of licences in an order to 0 in order to delete them? No, to delete an order, please always use the trash can icon in the respective screen.
Can I combine different licences with each other? Yes, you can book different licences for an end user and assign them in the M365 admin interface.
Not all employees of a company need to be assigned the same licences.
How can I view the location of my data? In the respective Admin Centre under Settings -> Organisation Settings -> Organisation Profile -> Data Storage Location, you can check where the data is stored.
If I cancel a licence, how long can the end customer continue to use it? If a licence is cancelled, it can no longer be used with immediate effect.


Microsoft Price increase on 01.04.2023

Dear partners,

With this letter we would like to draw your attention to an important change in the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Model (CSP).

With the announcement of 05.01.2023, Microsoft will carry out a price adjustment for a large part of the licence models.
This will also apply to the CSP model. Microsoft communicates that these changes have to be made due to ongoing exchange rate fluctuations of local currencies compared to the US dollar.
The following are the exact price adjustments effective from 01 April 2023:

  • Prices for British Pound (GBP) will be adjusted by +9%.
  • Prices for Danish Krone (DKK), Euro (EUR) and Norwegian Krone (NOK) will be adjusted by +11%.
  • Prices for Swedish krona (SEK) will be adjusted by +15


The prices for the EURO area will therefore increase by 11% for the CSP model from 01 April 2023.

This applies regardless of the subscription period, payment method or CSP model (Legacy or New Commerce).

Below are a few examples to illustrate the impact on existing and new orders:

  • Since March 2022, it has only been possible to book in the CSP New Commerce model. Classic legacy orders (all bookings prior to March 2022) currently continue unchanged, but are also subject to the 11% price increase from April 2023.
  • With a view to the price, it therefore makes sense to keep Legacy orders that renew again in January, February and March 2023 active. This ensures flexibility and the current price for another year (regardless of monthly or annual payment). However, by 2024 at the latest, the higher prices for these orders will also apply. However, we generally recommend replacing orders from the legacy model with new CSP New Commerce bookings. This is the only way to remain in the current Microsoft licence model and to be independent of changes or adjustments in the legacy model.
  • CSP New Commerce bookings from March 2022 renew again for one year in March 2023 and secure the lower price again. In the case of an annual subscription for a further year. With monthly subscription for the respective monthly term. After that, the prices valid at the time of renewal apply directly.
  • All orders from Legacy and New Commerce will be renewed from 01 April 2023 at the then valid, 11% higher price.

In order to implement this adjustment in the best possible way for you and the end customer, we recommend the following procedure:

  • Replace classic legacy CSP orders that renew in January, February and March 2023 with new bookings in the CSP New Commerce model. In this way, you secure the current price and have converted your end customers to the current licensing model.
  • Replace all legacy orders that would renew from April 2023 onwards with new CSP New Commerce bookings until March 2023. This will allow you to secure the lower price for these orders for another year. We have the flexibility to cancel Legacy orders with annual payment terms and issue credit notes for the remaining term.

Example:

  A Legacy order from August 2021 last renewed for another year in August 2022. 
  This order would renew again in August 2023 for a further year. However, then at the 11% higher price. This order should be re-booked in CSP New 
  Commerce by the end of March 2023. If it is an annual payment method, we will issue a credit note for the remaining term until August 2023 for the old legacy. 
  If it is a monthly payment method, we will bill the calendar month that has started with the highest volume value.
  In these cases, it makes sense to make the switch in the last week of the calendar month. This way, there is no major double charge.

What is the New Commerce Experience (NCE) from Microsoft?

Upcoming changes in the course of the New Commerce Experience from Microsoft
In order to understand the general changes, price adjustments and promos, we will use this writing to explain the current CSP principle and then explain the innovations step by step.
When you currently book an M365 product with us at the TERRA CLOUD Center, you have the option to choose between monthly or annual payment.
Regardless of which payment method you choose, an annual subscription is always generated in the Microsoft system.
This subscription has a fixed start and end date. Within this period, there is price protection for all additions or extensions.
With monthly payment, it is possible to flexibly adjust the quantity downwards at any time.

With the New Commerce Model this will change.

There will still be an annual subscription with monthly or annual payment. Price protection will also be maintained for one year. However, it will then no longer be possible to reduce the quantity at any time.

From the start of the annual subscription, you always have 7 days to adjust the quantity or cancel completely.
After these 7 days, this is only possible again in the following year, when the annual subscription would be extended by another year. So here the usual flexibility is restricted.
This brings us to an innovation in New Commerce: the monthly subscription.
This subscription has only a term of one month and therefore also only a price protection of one month.
In contrast to the annual subscription, it is possible here to adjust the 'quantity flexibly from month to month, even downwards.
But again, this is not possible every day, but only at the respective 7 day time window in the extension period in the following month.

One must be aware here that there is a strong limitation of flexibility'. It must be carefully weighed up which subscription and payment method is suitable for the respective end customer
This is because with an annual subscription with monthly payment, billing is maintained until the end of the subscription term.
In case of financial bankruptcy or inability to pay on the part of the end customer, we are forced to continue billing our partner nevertheless.
The same applies to us if a partner is no longer able to pay the invoices: Microsoft continues to bill us until the end of the subscription period.

The introduction of New Commerce is also accompanied by price changes. Monthly subscriptions are 20% more expensive than annual subscriptions (regardless of whether they are paid monthly or annually).
In addition, general price increases for certain products will apply from March 2022.

  • Microsoft 365 Business Basic -> 20%
  • Microsoft 365 Business Premium -> 10%
  • Microsoft 365 E3 -> 12,5%
  • Office 365 E5 -> 9%
  • Office 365 E3 -> 15%
  • Office 365 E1 -> 25%


These price increases apply regardless of the subscription term. However, this also means that Monthly Subscription will experience a double price increase.
Once the 20% for the pure flexibility in adjusting the quantity and once the one for the general price adjustments of the mentioned products between 10% and 25%.

The above 'changes will come into effect from March 2022 at our TERRA CLOUD Centre for new bookings.
For the new bookings from March we will pass on the promotions from Microsoft to you. Different discounts and durations apply to the different subscriptions:

  • Monthly subscriptions receive a discount of approx. 20%. The promotion is valid for new bookings up to and including June 2022. But beware: The monthly subscription only has a price protection of one month.

From July onwards, the undiscounted price will apply again immediately.
