Microsoft Open Value
Open Value is a volume licensing program from Microsoft with a minimum term of 3 years.
This fixed term is not adjustable! After the initial contract term expires, Software Assurance can be extended for another 3 years.
For the first 3 years, new licenses and Software Assurance must be purchased each year.
With an optional extension after the initial contract term, only the Software Assurance is renewed.
The software can be paid for in annual installments (item: 1Y1Y) or upfront (item: 3Y1Y).
Order
If you do not yet have a reseller account with Wortmann AG, you can find a form here here, which you should complete and send to Neukunde@wortmann.de. You will then be assigned a customer number, which you can use to proceed.
Open Value orders must always be sent in writing to Microsoft@wortmann.de!
End Customer Data
To process your order, we need the following information:
- Your customer number
- Your email address
End customer:
- Company name
- Street | Postal code | City
- Telephone number
- Contact person (first & last name)
- Business email address
Signature

The Open Value contract will be created by us.
After creation, you and the end customer will receive an email from Microsoft for signature.
The end customer must sign the contract online via Adobe Sign by clicking "Review and Sign" .
After the two marked fields have been completed, the signature must be submitted to Microsoft by clicking "Click to Sign" .
It is important that only the end customer's email address can be used for the signature.
The signature will be verified by Microsoft within 24-48 hours.
Welcome Letter

Once Microsoft has reviewed the order and countersigned the contract, you, the end customer, and we will receive the "Welcome Letter".
Within 24 hours, we will place the order with Microsoft.
First-time orders are reviewed separately by Microsoft. This process takes at least one business day.
Microsoft Admin Center
One to two business days after the welcome letter, only the end customer will receive an invitation letter from Microsoft.
This letter is used to establish the connection to the Microsoft Admin Center.
Attention:
If you are already signed in with a Microsoft account, the connection will be established automatically.
Therefore, we recommend completing this process in a private browser window.
If the email is not immediately visible, search the specified mailbox under "Action required: Sign in to manage your volume licensing assets".

Where can I find the licenses?
Once the contract has been correctly linked to the Microsoft Admin Center, the licenses will appear under the following headings:
Your Products -> Volume Licensing -> View contracts -> Select contract -> Create license summary. All downloads are available in the selected product.
Please note that the Volume Licensing tab may only be partially visible in Microsoft Edge.

For questions regarding Open Value transactions, we always need your current contract number and customer number.
The email address on file can be updated by us later if necessary.
For this, we need the following information:
- Your customer number
- Contract number
- Old email address
- New email address
- Contact person (first and last name)
- Telephone number
Open Value contracts can generally be transferred.
For this, we need a written request including the latest Microsoft "Reminder" or the latest "Order Confirmation" to Microsoft@wortmann.de.
The reminder or order confirmation is available to the active trading partner and the end customer.
